This is a local band and always a sell-out that gets every age up and dancing for the best night out this year come on down to Highcliffe. WE ARE ROBOT are an indie pop-rock band. In 2014 the band was formed and is made up of 3 college friends and a rock bassist from the 1970s (maybe not that far back, but this man has been on records when that's what they were, records)The songwriting is mainly undertaken by the two guitarists, Chris Ralph and Paul Denson, both share lead vocals. Think Lennon and Mccartney. The very talented Mr Sam Kay joins them on drums to add the beats to the tracks, and can also play guitar and bass too!
Vijay Amarnani is the very well-established bassist mentioned above and adds the much-needed catchy bass tones.
In 2015, they released their first album and although it has no professional studio or record label backing, and was recorded on some cheese and an old microphone. It has been well received and is getting a lot of local radio play.
2017 saw the release of their second 'studio, not a studio' recorded album. Learning a little from the first one, we removed some cheese from the recording process and the results hopefully speak for themselves.
